Wolf Run Park

              A 220 acre lake that offers boating (up to 10 horse power), swimming (life guard beach), fishing (noted for trout,bass,and panfish), family camping, nature programs and hunting (during season). A 2 1/2 mile section of the buckeye trail passes along the west side of the lake.    Fly in camping is also available at the park as a 20-site primitive camping area for camping enthusiasts who also enjoy commercial or industrial flying.

    Organized youth groups may wish to use the group area, but be sure to contact the park 14 days before intended arrival date. Wolf run is open from 6 am to dark for visitors. For more information call (740)732-5035.                

     Adjacent to wolf run,on state route 215, is the Eastern Ohio Resource Development Center. It encompasses 2,053 acres of land and is the largest outlying branch of Ohio Agricultural Research and Development center, Whooster, OH.

 It is a scenic farm for the study of the practical application of agricultural practices. Cattle,sheep,grasslands and stripe mine reclamation in a beautiful setting. It is also the site of the Ohio Bull station.
    Nearby is Sarahsville,the first county seat and the site of the first fairgrounds.East of Sarahsville on state route 146 is the Young-Shaw house (not open to the public). It is on the national register.
